I feel Human again...sort of

Castle Beckett/Castle love
So I've been sick as a dog since Wednesday night.

I nearly had a massively embarrassing moment on the L on my way home from but I managed to get off the train just in time to throw up in the garbage can. And thus began my lovely day of being sick...I couldn't even keep fluid down on Thursday and the stomach cramps, omg, I just wanted to die.

By late Thursday evening I was able to hold down some warm, defizzed 7Up...and then spent the night dry heaving...but at leave I wasn't throwing up anymore. Woo!

Friday, able to keep down liquids and crackers if I swallowed them with liquid. My mom came to my rescue Friday night w/soup that was mostly liquid, pepto bismal and gas-x to help settle my stomach. I also got yelled at cause when I talked to her on Thursday night she had asked if I was running a temp and I said no...well I hadn't actually taken my temp, I just didn't feel hot. turns out when she made me take my temp on Friday I was running a low-grade temp of around 100 degrees...and that was taken after I had been sipping on ginger ale.

Little better today. So far no dry heaving, managed dry toast for breakfast. I even managed a shower. That was the best. I'm clean!!!
And now I'm attempting soup. Yay, soup!

[info]shipperchick left me a voice mail last night at 9:15 to "share the insanity at Union Square" and also to let me know that she was #896 in line. Apparently they were having a big HP party there. Wish I could have gone. I've promised myself that for Book 7 I'm going to the fest in Oak Park. They turn a section of downtown Oak Park into Diagon Alley and have games and shops and this year they had an all-day Quiddich Tournament.

Am very sad so far, my copy of HBP has not show up at my door yet. Checked the UPS tracking # they sent me and according to the tracking site the book left the Bedford Park facility (20 minutes from my house) at 9:45 am yesterday morning to go to its "final destination" and that's it...no other updates. Ummm....where the hell is my book! How is it that it's been "in transit to final destination" for over 24 hours!

[info]shipperchick has promised to read me the book over the phone if it doesn't show up in a couple hours ;)
According to Amazon they have until 7pm cst to get the book to me or they'll refund my order since it was guaranteed to be delivered today.

well my soup is getting cold so I should go eat it...and I have 3 hours of sci-fi to rewatch since I kept dozing off last night.
